Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide NSF-certified bulk extra-coarse rock salt for the industrial water softeners and associated RO systems at the VA Southern Nevada Healthcare System. The contractor shall deliver salt on an as-needed basis, recognizing that demand will vary with water usage, mechanical failures, and scheduled maintenance. The contractor shall also coordinate each delivery in advance with the facility to ensure appropriate quantity and timing. The brine system consists of a brine maker and a brine day tank supplying industrial softeners for regeneration. The contractor shall be capable of delivering salt within 48 hours of request, including weekends and holidays.
