26-009 Prof. Engineering Services - Design of Sidewalk on E Maxwell St from N Hayne St to N 12th Ave

The City of Pensacola is seeking professional engineering services for the design of a sidewalk on East Maxwell Street from North Hayne Street to North 12th Avenue. The selected firm will be responsible for providing design plans, specifications, cost estimates, and contract documents. The scope of work includes surveying, geotechnical investigation, engineering, and permitting. The City is looking for firms with experience in preliminary roadway engineering and multimodal transportation. • The project involves designing an ADA-accessible 6’ sidewalk with high emphasis crosswalks. • The sidewalk will be located on the north side of East Maxwell Street within the City right-of-way. • The project requires consideration of ROW constraints, lane narrowing, and curb reconstruction. • The western terminus intersects with the north on-ramp onto Interstate 110, requiring analysis of intersection geometry and realignment. • The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all submittals and to waive any submittal informalities.
