Municipal Electric Utility (MEU) Feasibility Study

The City of St. Petersburg is seeking a consultant to conduct a feasibility study on establishing a City-owned Municipal Electric Utility (MEU) to replace Duke Energy Florida. The study will evaluate the financial, technical, operational, regulatory, and legal implications of transitioning to an MEU. The consultant will assess the viability of an MEU generating its own 100% renewable energy and compare it to participating in Duke Energy Florida's Clean Energy Connection program.
