The U.S. Department of Energy’s Office of Science (BER) is seeking voluntary, short written responses (max 2 pages) from research‑focused entities on the scientific bottlenecks, missing capabilities, high‑impact biotechnology application areas, and partnership models needed to move from descriptive biology to predictive biosystems design. This market‑research RFI does not offer funding or a contract award; the information will be used to shape DOE’s future research priorities, workshop agendas, and potential future solicitations.
