The Alaska Department of Natural Resources is seeking public comment on an amendment to an existing Multi‑Agency Permit for Mechanical Placer Mining (APMA A20242943) in the Yetna Mining District near Thunder Creek. The amendment proposes adding a 12 × 20‑ft trailered cabin and a 9 × 7‑ft trailered storage container on an existing gravel pad, along with associated water draw and access modifications. The public comment period ends on October 1, 2026. The amendment, if approved, would be effective upon issuance of the authorization and remain in force until December 31, 2028.
