Hauling and Disposal of Grit Entrained Sludge

The Atlantic County Utilities Authority (ACUA) is seeking bids for the hauling and disposal of grit-entrained primary sludge. The contractor will be responsible for picking up filled containers, transporting them to an approved disposal facility, disposing of the contents, rinsing the containers, and returning them to the treatment plant in clean condition. The contractor must be able to dispose of up to 5 cans per week and initiate disposal within five business days of ACUA's request. The contract term will be for 12 months with extensions as permitted by law. The contractor will also have the option to complete the entire tank cleanout, which is anticipated to occur once per year. • Hauling and disposal of grit-entrained primary sludge • Transportation of filled containers to an approved disposal facility • Proper disposal of grit/sludge material in accordance with all regulations • Disposal of up to 5 cans per week • Thorough rinsing of containers to remove residual debris • Return of clean, empty containers to ACUA's Wastewater Treatment Facility • Completion of the entire tank cleanout, if option is exercised
