Description

The College seeks a qualified contractor to eliminate wildlife intrusion in Annex B and Annex C on its Largo, MD campus and to restore interior ceilings. The work includes installing stainless‑steel perimeter barriers, securing crawlspace openings, screening vents, installing temporary exclusion devices, replacing all ceiling tiles, repairing ceiling grid systems, and performing structural repairs to damaged building components. The contractor must supply all labor, materials, equipment, and disposal services, comply with OSHA and local codes, coordinate with Facilities Operations, and complete a final inspection and punch‑list closeout. • Install ~420 ft (Annex B) and ~643 ft (Annex C) of 24‑in high Type 316 stainless‑steel woven wire cloth perimeter barriers, with buried aprons where required. • Upgrade crawlspace doors, vent screening, and utility penetration sealing. • Replace all ceiling tiles with commercial‑grade white mineral‑fiber panels and repair/replace damaged ceiling grid components. • Perform structural repairs (roof, soffit, siding, gutters, doors, windows, insulation, etc.) caused by wildlife damage. • Provide daily cleanup, safety compliance, and final documentation/warranty.

Budget estimate

$150,000 – $300,000

The solicitation does not disclose a contract value. Based on the scope—installing several hundred linear feet of stainless‑steel barrier, full ceiling tile replacement in two annex buildings, and assorted structural repairs—a mid‑size construction contract for a community college facility typically ranges from $150,000 to $300,000. Factors influencing the final amount include material costs (stainless‑steel wire cloth, ceiling panels), labor rates, site access constraints, and any unforeseen structural conditions discovered during work.
