Main Street Bridge No. 794004 Repairs - Cleaning and Painting

The County of Volusia is seeking a single, responsive and responsible bidder for the Main Street Bridge No. 794004 Repairs - Cleaning and Painting project in Daytona Beach, Florida. The project consists of cleaning and painting all structural steel on the bascule and flacking spans and select machinery, installing web repair plates, replacing bolt/rivets, removing abandoned air buffers and strike plates, and disassembling bearings, cleaning, re-packing with grease, and replacing grease fittings at the auxillary drive for the span drive machinery. The lowest responsive and responsible bidder shall be responsible for all applicable permitting, labor, materials, equipment, tools, transportation, services, and incidentals necessary to complete all Work required by the specifications and as shown on the drawings. • The project requires a complete job, including all labor, materials, and equipment, removal and disposal of materials for cleaning, painting, machinery rehabilitation and reconditioning, and structural steel repairs. • The project includes traffic control, maintenance of channel traffic, pollution controls, environmental testing, functional checks including span balancing, O&M manuals, restoration and as-built surveys/drawings. • The estimated construction cost is $2,426,851. • The project has a substantial completion duration of 150 days and a final completion duration of 30 days.
