Precooled Mobile Dehumidification Unit (MDU)

The United States Coast Guard (USCG) Aviation Logistics Center (ALC) is conducting market research to seek sources that can provide or manufacture Precooled Mobile Dehumidification Units (MDU) for use in aircraft. The precooled MDU must meet the minimum technical and operational requirements outlined in the specifications. The unit should be able to deliver 600 cubic feet per minute (CFM) of dehumidified process air, achieve 30-40% RH in the aircraft within one hour, and maintain this RH level for at least eight hours per day. The unit should also be mounted on a mobile, towable trailer and have a total weight not exceeding 5,000 pounds. • The precooled MDU should have a pre-cooling system with a minimum seven-ton air-cooled type condensing section. • The unit should have a standard 10-inch process air outlet and ambient inlet air filter. • The unit should be capable of being transported by commercial trailers, trains, and marine vessels. • The unit should have a technical information package, including owner, operation, and maintenance manuals, electrical circuit diagrams, and refrigeration diagrams. • The unit should have a warranty, and the warranty details should be provided.
