Description
The City of Salina is seeking a qualified vendor to assume full management and operation of its municipal animal shelter, covering administration, animal husbandry, and public service programs. The contractor will be responsible for licensing, daily animal care, veterinary services, adoption and foster programs, volunteer coordination, financial collection, reporting, and compliance with city ordinances. Proposals must include detailed three‑year and one‑year budgets, cost methodologies, staffing plans, and performance metrics. Evaluation will be based on service quality, experience, staffing, budget, and cost methodology, with a total of 100 points. The contract runs for an initial one‑year term starting on or before January 1 2027, with up to two optional one‑year renewals.
