The Air Force Research Laboratory is soliciting research in aircraft structural design, analysis, and experimentation, specifically in the areas of innovative structural concepts, generation of realistic load and environmental spectra, advanced structural design and analysis methods, and advanced techniques for experimental validation of structural models and simulations. The estimated program cost is $6M, and the Air Force anticipates awarding a minimum of one award per individual Call. The project duration is expected to be 5 years.
• Innovative structural concepts for reducing weight and/or improving performance
• Generation of realistic load and environmental spectra
• Advanced structural design and analysis methods
• Advanced techniques for experimental validation of structural models and simulations
• The Air Force reserves the right to award the instrument best suited to the nature of research proposed, including Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF), Cooperative Agreement, and Other Transaction (OT) for Prototype, grant, or OT for Research.
