Description
Western Piedmont Community College seeks a qualified contractor to replace the roof of its C Building (built 1964) located at 1001 Burkemont Ave, Morganton, NC. The scope includes removal of existing roofing material, inspection and repair of insulation, installation of new ½” inorganic Polyiso board, placement of a new 60 mil PVC or TPO membrane, reinstalling rock ballast, new drain inserts, and all required flashing and metal edging. The work must comply with manufacturer specifications, provide a 20‑year material warranty and a 2‑year workmanship warranty, and be completed no later than December 31 2026. A mandatory pre‑proposal site visit is required.
• Mandatory site visit – Oct 6, 2026 (must attend)
• Proposal submission deadline – Oct 15, 2026
• Contract start within 10 business days of award; completion by 12/31/2026
• Vendor must be a North Carolina‑registered vendor in good standing
• Insurance requirements: $250k WC, $500k CGL, $250k auto
• Warranty: 20‑year material, 2‑year workmanship
• All permits, disposal, and trash removal are vendor responsibilities.
