Construction Manager at Risk - UCM Welcome Center and UTT/Grinstead Facelift

The University of Central Missouri is seeking a Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) for the construction of a new Welcome Center and the facelift of the Grinstead and Utt Buildings. The project includes the design and construction of a two-story building with gathering space for large and small tour groups, assembly space for special events, and dedicated pedestrian pathways to enter the campus. The CMAR will be responsible for providing budget and variance reporting, ensuring construction complies with contract documents and requirements, and managing close out phase of the project. The estimated total cost of the project is $30,000,000.00. The key objectives of the project include reflecting UCM's distinctive campus identity and architectural character, supporting historic campus buildings, creating a modern student experience, addressing parking, traffic flow, and information booth, and storage for people moving carts. • The CMAR will work with the Owner in a support role for the remainder of the design phase of the project. • The CMAR will assume the risk of delivering the project through a Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) contract. • The CMAR will be responsible for construction means and methods and may self-perform limited amounts of work. • The CMAR will provide budget and variance reporting, ensure construction complies with contract documents and requirements, and manage close out phase of the project.
