The Regional Transit Authority (RTA) of New Orleans, Louisiana is seeking a qualified consulting firm to provide comprehensive state‑legislative and government‑relations services. The contractor will represent RTA before Louisiana legislators, the Governor’s office, and related agencies to secure funding and favorable policy for major transit projects such as a downtown transit center, bus rapid transit, ferry enhancements, and redevelopment of the Union Passenger Terminal. Work is “as‑needed” and will require continuous monitoring, reporting, and direct advocacy throughout the contract period. • Legislative engagement with state lawmakers and the Governor’s administration to advance RTA’s transportation priorities. • Strategic planning for appropriations, grant programs, and emerging funding opportunities; regular reporting on budget and regulatory developments. • Coordination with the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development and representation of RTA in legislative forums and public‑private partnership discussions.
