Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) firm to conduct a site study for future expansion at the Robert J. Dole VAMC campus in Wichita, Kansas. The study will investigate key areas already identified for future expansion to determine the feasibility of expanding through the construction of new floor levels and new buildings adjacent to existing buildings and/or structures. The selected firm will provide Basic Professional Services, including architectural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, structural, historic preservation, and physical security services. The firm will also be required to perform construction period services if a construction project contract is awarded.

• Professional qualifications and experience of the firm and its personnel
• Specialized experience and technical competence in similar projects
• Capacity to meet the schedule and perform the work in the required time
• Past performance on contracts with government agencies and private industry
• Ability to work with the VA's design guides, manuals, and standards
• Familiarity with VA design guides, manuals, and other applicable federal, state, and local standards
• Ability to provide a high-level cost estimate for the expansion
• Ability to identify and address potential interferences with existing conditions
