The project aims to support future Modelling and Simulation (M&S) capability development by assessing the potential role of quantum technologies as disruptive, enabling, and/or transformational capabilities. The project will identify and test where quantum computing may provide operational, analytical, or computational advantages within future M&S ecosystems. The key areas of focus include Quantum-Enhanced Modelling & Simulation, Quantum-Reformulated Modelling & Simulation, and Quantum-Native Modelling & Simulation. The project requires the development of a design-oriented methodology for identifying, structuring, integrating, reformulating, and evaluating quantum-relevant approaches within future M&S ecosystems. Some of the key deliverables include a Quantum-Relevant M&S Design Methodology, PoC Candidate Formulation and Comparative Assessment, and a Road Map for future M&S capability development and requirements definition.
