The U.S. Navy’s NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk is issuing a sole‑source, firm‑fixed‑price solicitation for 55 Surface Velocity Profile (SVP) drifter buoys (“Ice Trackers”) to support the U.S. Interagency Arctic Buoy Program. The buoys must operate in harsh Arctic/Antarctic sea‑ice conditions, provide GPS‑based drift tracking, temperature, pressure, conductivity, wind, and other oceanographic measurements, and transmit data via multiple satellite systems. Delivery is required within 90 days of contract award to the Fleet Weather Center in Norfolk, VA. The contract is set‑aside for small‑business participation but will be awarded directly to Pacific Gyre if the price is deemed fair and reasonable.
