Sole Source to UltraLife Corporation for Lithium Batteries per attachments

The Naval Sea Systems Command, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Panama City Division (NSWC PCD) is seeking to acquire lithium batteries from UltraLife Corporation on a sole source basis. The batteries will be used to support Developmental Testing, Environmental Qualification Testing, NAVSEA S9310 Lithium Battery Safety Testing, and Initial Capability production of the Mine MK 68 (All Mods). The requirement is for 2000 units of the UB0048 battery pack. The justification for the sole source acquisition is that UltraLife is the sole developer and original equipment manufacturer of the item, and no other supplier can meet the agency's needs. • The acquisition is for a firm fixed price purchase order. • The batteries will be used for the Mine MK 68 (All Mods) system. • The UB0048 battery pack is the only one that can meet the required functionality and volumetric constraints. • The acquisition will be conducted using simplified acquisition procedures.
