Description
The County of Glenn is seeking a qualified engineering firm to provide on-call engineering services for its airports. The selected firm will be required to perform a variety of tasks, including engineering studies, design work, preparation of contract plans and specifications, construction management, and contract administration. The contract is expected to be for a period of three years, with the option for two one-year extensions. The County is looking for a firm with experience in airport engineering and a strong understanding of the Federal Aviation Administration's (FAA) rules and regulations.
Some key tasks that the selected firm may be required to perform include:
• Conducting engineering studies and designing airport improvement projects
• Preparing contract plans and specifications for airport construction projects
• Providing construction management and administration services for airport projects
• Coordinating with the FAA and other regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with federal regulations
• Developing and implementing safety and security protocols for airport operations
• Providing technical assistance and support to airport staff as needed.
