17th Avenue Sidewalk Improvements

The City of Pensacola is seeking bids for the 17th Avenue Sidewalk Improvements project. The project includes demolition of pavement, excavation, cut/fill, concrete paving, construction of curb/gutter, installation of formwork, placement of asphalt, adjustment of water meter boxes, valve boxes, cleanouts, and other utility enclosures, placement of thermoplastic pavement markings, adjustment or relocation of existing landscaping, and sodding. All sidewalks shall meet accessibility requirements as much as practicable, including grading and finishing to achieve required cross and running slopes, placement of detectable warning plates, and construction of ramps that do not cause ponding of or impede the flow of stormwater. The project has a 30 calendar-day completion goal following Notice to Proceed. • The project requires demolition and excavation of existing pavement and sidewalks. • The project includes construction of new curb/gutter, installation of formwork, and placement of asphalt. • The project requires adjustment or relocation of existing landscaping and sodding. • The project must meet accessibility requirements, including placement of detectable warning plates and construction of ramps. • The project has a 30 calendar-day completion goal.
