Intent to Award Sole/Single Source: Centrifuge and Research Altitude Chambers (C/RAC) Operations

The Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) intends to award a sole source contract to KBR Wyle Services, LLC for the operation and maintenance of the Centrifuge and Research Altitude Chambers (C/RAC) facilities. The contract will be for a 12-month base period with four 12-month option periods. The contractor will provide a broad base of scientific, engineering, and technical expertise to support the daily operations of the C/RAC facilities, including centrifuge and chamber setup, control system programming, data collection, scheduling, troubleshooting, and repair. Key aspects of the job include: • Providing specialized personnel, including an Aerospace Physiology Officer, Maintainer, and Inside Observer, to support the operation and maintenance of the C/RAC facilities • Developing continuity manuals for the operation and maintenance of the C/RAC facilities • Ensuring compliance with all applicable regulations and codes, including FAR and OSHA standards • Providing a comprehensive program management for C/RAC RDT&E projects, including managing data collection and analysis, securing CUI, and overseeing C/RAC staffing, logistics, and procurement
