The United States Navy is hosting a Reverse Industry Day event to gather information and recommendations from industry representatives on the Next Generation Submarine Rescue Program. The event aims to provide an opportunity for industry representatives to inform the government on how to best execute submarine rescue in the future. The primary focus of the event is on 24/7/365 worldwide submarine rescue to meet 72-hour Time to First Rescue (TTFR) requirements. The event will include one-on-one discussions between industry representatives and government officials, as well as open discussions and presentations.
• The Next Generation Submarine Rescue Program aims to provide unparalleled special mission capabilities to ensure success and survival in the most demanding environments worldwide.
• The program's primary focus is on 24/7/365 worldwide submarine rescue to meet 72-hour TTFR requirements.
• The program's secondary focus is on commercial air transport capability, significant reduction in the number of planes required, operational availability, minimizing maintenance and sustainment costs, and maximizing interoperability across global submarine rescue systems.
