Newtown Estates Park Asphalt Trail

Sarasota County is requesting quotes from bidders to install a new asphalt trail connecting Martin Luther King Jr. Way and Newtown Boulevard. The project involves widening the existing 5-foot gravel and shell trail to a finished width of 8 feet, installing 2 to 3 inches of crushed concrete sub-base, and furnishing and installing 1,600 linear feet of trail using FDOT-approved Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA). The contractor shall also perform site cleanup and disposal, and remove and properly dispose of all construction debris, trash, and excess materials at an approved offsite disposal location.
