DOC Mount Pleasant Correction Facility Perimeter Fence and Wagon Gate Replacement

The State of Iowa Department of Administrative Services (DAS) is seeking professional design services for the creation of construction documents for the replacement of the perimeter fence and wagon gate at the Mt. Pleasant Correctional Facility. The project includes designing a new secure perimeter fence system, associated vehicle and pedestrian gates, and any required security enhancements. The selected design team will be responsible for evaluating existing conditions, recommending appropriate fence and security technologies, and preparing complete construction documents suitable for public bidding. • The project requires the design of a new secure perimeter fence system, associated vehicle and pedestrian gates, and any required security enhancements. • The design team must evaluate existing conditions and recommend appropriate fence and security technologies. • The project includes the preparation of complete construction documents suitable for public bidding. • The selected firm will be responsible for construction administration, including creation of the submittal and closeout items log, review of and responses to submittals and closeout documentation, RFIs, proposal requests, change orders, pay applications, periodic site visits, attendance at project meetings as required, participation/development of contractor punch list, closeout documentation review and approval, certificates of substantial completion, and certificates of final completion.
