The San Jacinto High School Modernization Project involves the modernization of existing buildings and the construction of new buildings. The project is divided into three phases: Phase 1 - Site Work, Utilities, and Enabling Improvements, Phase 2 - Building E (400) Modernization and Bus Drop-Off Improvements, and Phase 3 - Portable Removal and Final Site Improvements. The project includes various trades such as concrete, masonry, metals, wood, plastics, and composites, thermal and moisture protection, openings, finishes, specialties, equipment, furnishings, and special construction. The project also involves storm drainage systems, including storm sewer pipes and structures, catch basins, and utility structures. The contractor will be responsible for coordinating with occupants, maintaining existing buildings and grounds, and ensuring that the work does not interfere with the owner's operations.
• The project requires the contractor to designate delivery dates for owner-furnished products in their construction schedule.
• The contractor must review owner-reviewed product data, shop drawings, and samples, noting discrepancies and other issues.
• The contractor is responsible for receiving, unloading, handling, storing, protecting, and installing owner-furnished products.
• The contractor must make building services connections for owner-furnished products and protect them from damage during storage, handling, and installation.
• The contractor must repair or replace owner-furnished products damaged following receipt.
• The contractor must provide identification tags for personnel working on the project site and require them to use identification tags at all times.
• The contractor must comply with restrictions on construction operations, including limitations on use of public streets and work on public streets, rights of way, and other requirements of authorities having jurisdiction.
• The contractor must coordinate operations that may result in high levels of noise and vibration, dust, odors, or other disruption to owner occupancy with the owner.
