Fiscal Year 2027 - Guardrail

The Boone County Public Works Department is seeking bids from qualified vendors and contractors to provide services associated with guardrails during Fiscal Year 2027. The contract will be for a period of one year, starting from July 1, 2026, to June 30, 2027. The bidder will be required to provide verification of insurance coverage and maintain the insurance coverage required by the County while the contract is in force. The bidder must also comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Some key aspects of the job include: • Providing guardrail materials and installation services • Meeting the current Kentucky Department of Highways Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction and Standard Drawings • Ensuring all utility locations, needed signage, and traffic control are done per Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD) current addition • Disposing of all removed guardrail materials to a site other than the County yard • Coordinating the installation with Boone County Public Works as needed
