Tiny Home Village Development

The County of Volusia is seeking a non-profit developer to design, develop, and construct a tiny home village in Orange City, Florida. The project aims to provide affordable homeownership opportunities for veterans, seniors, and workforce housing populations. The development will include a minimum of 20 tiny home units on approximately 6.7 acres of donated property, with space dedicated for a future community park. The project will serve the following target populations: Veterans, seniors, and workforce housing candidates. • The property was purchased with Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds and will be donated for the development of this project. • HOME Investment Partnerships Program (HOME) funds in the estimated amount of $800,000 are available for the development of units serving households at or below 80% of Area Median Income (AMI). • The maximum subsidy per HOME unit is $75,000.
