The City of Santa Barbara is seeking proposals from qualified civil engineering firms to provide preliminary designs for the Mission Canyon Pathways Project. The project aims to create a safe pathway for pedestrian travel and potentially cyclists along the east side of Mission Canyon Rd/East Los Olivos Street. The selected consultant will be responsible for examining site constraints, developing design alternatives, and providing a cost analysis for the engineering, design, and construction of the preferred alternative. The scope of work includes a limited topographical survey, feasibility analysis, conceptual design options, and safety and maintenance considerations.
• The project will address mobility challenges created by narrow streets, outdated infrastructure, and challenging intersections.
• The consultant will meet and coordinate with the City, County, and other public agencies as needed.
• The consultant will attend an initial site visit with the City's Project Team to discuss and review the project area.
• The consultant will provide a cost proposal, including all costs associated with the services to be provided.
• The consultant will submit a non-collusion declaration and provide proof of insurance coverage.
