MCAS Beaufort Catholic Coordinator of Education

The United States Marine Corps is seeking a Catholic Coordinator of Education to provide religious education coordination to the Catholic community at MCAS Chapel, Beaufort, South Carolina. The coordinator will be responsible for designing, preparing, and coordinating curriculum for classes and academic-religious events, as well as providing leadership development for Catholic religious education teachers. The coordinator will also maintain statistical records, coordinate scheduling and allocation of spaces, and prepare a religious education budget. The contract will be for a period of one year, with two optional 12-month extensions. Key responsibilities include: • Coordinating the delivery of religious education and methods consistent with the cultural and educational environment of the Marine and Navy communities • Reviewing religious education materials and making recommendations to the Catholic Priest • Designing, preparing, and coordinating curriculum for classes and academic-religious events • Providing continuous leadership development for Catholic religious education teachers • Maintaining statistical records and coordinating scheduling and allocation of spaces • Preparing a religious education budget
