BJA FY25 Second Chance Act Training and Technical Assistance Program

The Bureau of Justice Assistance is seeking applications for the Second Chance Act Training and Technical Assistance Program. This program aims to support Second Chance Act grantees in assessing community reentry strategies and implementing or expanding interventions to address identified gaps in technical areas to reduce recidivism and improve public safety. The program will provide training and technical assistance to grantees, with a particular focus on Smart Reentry program grantees. • The program will support the assessment of community reentry strategies and the implementation or expansion of interventions to address identified gaps in technical areas. • The program will provide training and technical assistance to grantees, including technology adoption and expansion to enhance reentry strategies, and statistical analysis support to inform and achieve identified objectives. • The program aims to reduce recidivism and improve public safety. • The program is open to various types of applicants, including nonprofits, public and state-controlled institutions of higher education, for-profit organizations, and private institutions of higher education.
