Rudee Inlet Maintenance Dredging

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Norfolk District, is soliciting bids for a firm-fixed-price construction contract for maintenance dredging of the Rudee Inlet Federal Navigation Channel in Virginia Beach, Virginia. The project involves dredging up to approximately 220,000 cubic yards of sandy maintenance material from various areas, including the Rudee Entrance Channel, Sand Trap, Entrance Channel Transition Area, North Jetty Area, South Jetty Area, and Outer Deposition Basin. The contractor must have the capability to hydraulically pump sandy dredged material up to approximately 1.25 miles. The period of performance is anticipated to be 180 calendar days, scheduled between Labor Day 2026 and Memorial Day 2027. • The contractor will be required to dredge up to 220,000 cubic yards of sandy maintenance material. • The contractor must have the capability to hydraulically pump sandy dredged material up to approximately 1.25 miles. • The period of performance is anticipated to be 180 calendar days. • The contractor shall commence work within 10 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed (NTP). • The acquisition will be conducted on an unrestricted basis, and the Government has determined that this requirement will not be set aside for small business participation.
