AVON STREET (1923) BULKHEAD

The City of Los Angeles, Bureau of Engineering is seeking bids for the construction of a new bulkhead retaining structure along the northwest side of Avon Street, near its intersection with Duane Street. The project aims to mitigate the threat to public safety and restore lateral support to the roadway. The bulkhead will be approximately 57 feet in length and will be constructed with cast-in-drilled-hole (CIDH) piles with steel wide flange beams and pre-cast concrete lagging. The project also includes installation of new asphalt concrete paving, concrete curb and gutter, and a metal beam guardrail. • The project is funded entirely by Senate Bill 1 (SB-1) Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation funds. • The City Engineer's estimate for the project is $601,010.00. • The bid documents can be obtained from the CLA Regional Alliance Marketplace for Procurement (www.RAMPLA.org). • Only pre-qualified contractors on the Pre-Qualified List of Contractors can bid on this project as a Prime Contractor.
