SPRUCE AND ELMORE FIRE TOWER IMPROVEMENTS

The State of Vermont is seeking proposals for the Spruce and Elmore Fire Tower Improvements project. The project involves implementing designed improvements and recommended maintenance items for the Spruce and Elmore Mountain Fire Towers. The contractor shall prior to executing work determine if the work can be executed directly from the plans or if modifications are necessary. Necessary improvements and required maintenance for the tower are listed in the attached assessment report. Typical designs for the additional safety elements are described in a plan set titled "State Lands Fire Tower Upgrades – Conformed Drawings 2026-03-23". Site access information is provided in "Fire Tower Improvement Project Access Plans".
