MH-65 Repair of Engine Extinguishers

The United States Coast Guard (USCG) is soliciting quotations for the repair of engine extinguishers used on the H-65 helicopter. The contractor will be required to perform test and evaluation, overhaul, and return the components to a ready-for-installation (RFI) condition. The contractor must have access to the required technical expertise, engineering data, and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) parts to successfully perform the repairs. The USCG anticipates awarding a firm-fixed-price purchase order on a sole-source basis to Shoreline Marine, Inc. DBA Safetech. Key points to consider: • The contractor must have the capability to release, capture, re-use, and dispose of the existing extinguishing agent. • The contractor must perform hydrostatic testing on each extinguisher bottle to establish a new start date of the 5-year testing requirement. • The contractor must comply with the certification and documentation requirements specified in the solicitation. • The contractor must provide a Certificate of Conformance (COC) for all components.
