John R Jones Stadium Complex Upgrades - Building Upgrades and Landscape Design

The Escambia County Parks and Recreation Department is seeking professional design services for the athletic fields and rest of the facility design at John R Jones Stadium Complex. The intent is to convert 21 athletic fields to synthetic turf on the existing footprint of the facility. The selected firm will be responsible for providing design services, including coordination with the engineer of record, site assessment, and code review. The firm will also be responsible for preparing a comprehensive recommendation report and providing construction support and site representation. • The project includes the design and implementation of the supporting infrastructure of the park and coordination with the engineer of record. • The firm will be responsible for converting existing on-site buildings to upgrade the current bathroom facilities and designing a new centralized location for facility/tournament organizers. • The firm will also be responsible for developing functional and durable designs for dugout interiors, designing hardscape and softscape for dedicated exterior food truck zones, and designing attractive and safe pedestrian circulation paths. • The firm will be responsible for selecting and specifying the optimal synthetic turf system and preparing a formal, comprehensive report addressing Escambia County.
