Description
The Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division (NSWC IHD) is seeking sources for a custom-built, industrial diesel-powered forklift with required safety modifications. The forklift will be used for the transportation of end items between different facilities across outdoor, level roadways. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, materials, transportation, and documentation necessary to deliver a fully operational forklift.
The key requirements for the forklift include:
• Lifting capacity of at least 20,000lbs
• Load center of 41 inches
• 2-stage mast with a maximum lift height of 130 inches
• Carriage width of at least 96 inches
• Fork length of 96 inches
• Pneumatic tires
• Turn radius of 19 feet and 5 inches
• Diesel power source
• Forklift height not exceeding 12 feet
• Speed under full load of at least 10 miles per hour
• Overall forklift length not exceeding 26 feet
• Side shift of 8 inches
• Fork coating of brass or other non-sparking metal
The contractor shall also provide comprehensive manuals, certification of completion, and engineering drawings for the forklift.
