Description
The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) is seeking information from industry partners to support the development of the Next Generation Airlift (NGAL) program. The NGAL program aims to identify and mature the technologies and concepts necessary to field a next-generation strategic airlift aircraft that offers significant advancements in capacity, range, efficiency, connectivity, survivability, and operational flexibility over current systems. The aircraft should have a wingspan of less than 223 feet and be able to carry a minimum payload of 160,000 pounds over a distance of at least 2,500 nautical miles unrefueled. Interested parties are requested to respond to this RFI with a white paper that addresses the following questions:
• Describe your candidate aircraft concept(s) and their status of development.
• Provide details on the overall dimensions and size of the aircraft concept.
• Describe the proposed propulsion system for the concept aircraft.
• Provide information on the projected payload-range capability of the aircraft.
• Describe the aircraft's cargo-carrying capabilities and cargo design.
• Describe the aircraft's systems, survivability, technology, and logistics.
