The Huerfano County Government is seeking qualified developers to propose mixed-use, residential, commercial, or other innovative concepts for the redevelopment of the Rio Cucharas District, an approximately 28-acre site located at 77 Taylor Blvd, Walsenburg, CO 81089. The site presents a unique opportunity for transformative development that aligns with community goals, economic vitality, and sustainable urban design. The project aims to reflect the vision outlined in the 2024 Comprehensive Plan Update for Huerfano County and the Huerfano County Housing Needs Assessment.
