Description
The Indian Health Service is providing notice of a proposed contracting action for commercial services of labor, supervision, tools, materials, equipment, transportation, permits, logistics, and management required for the laundering of all applicable materials for the Woodrow Wilson Keeble Memorial Health Care Center at Sisseton, SD. The contract will be a firm-fixed price contract, and the place of performance will be at the WWKMHCC. The contractor will be responsible for providing all management, supervision, labor, transportation, equipment, supplies, detergents, disinfectants, and other resources necessary to collect, transport, launder, process, package, and deliver Government-owned linen items. The scope of work includes services such as laundry processing, delivery, and inventory accountability. The contractor will be required to comply with all applicable federal, state, local, healthcare, infection-control, and occupational safety requirements.

• The contract is for a period of 12 months from the date of award.
• The estimated annual laundry poundage is up to 7,800 pounds.
• The contractor will be required to provide services such as mop heads, dust mops, bed sheets, pillowcases, blankets, towels and washcloths, patient gowns, surgical linens, staff uniforms and scrubs, and curtains and specialty linens.
• The contractor will be required to comply with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements, Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) healthcare laundry guidance, applicable state health regulations, HIPAA requirements, and infection prevention and control standards.
• The contractor will be required to maintain records of quantities received and delivered, report discrepancies immediately, and investigate missing items upon request.
