Description
The New Bedford Housing Authority is seeking bids for the roof replacement and reinstallation of the existing photovoltaic (PV) solar panel system at 14 Adams Street, New Bedford, MA. The work includes temporary removal and storage of approximately 212 solar panels and associated components, roof deck repairs, complete removal and replacement of the existing PVC roofing system, and reinstallation, reconnection, and testing of the solar panel system. The estimated cost of the project is $310,000.00.
• The project is subject to M.G.L. c.149 §44A-J and minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.149 §§26 to 27H inclusive.
• The project is federally funded and subject to federal prevailing wage requirements under the Davis-Bacon Act.
• Bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the category of work, Roofing Contractor.
• A pre-bid conference will be held on March 10, 2026, at 10:00 am.
