Request for Bids - Sunrise Park Basketball Court

The City of Hays is inviting sealed bids for the construction of the Sunrise Park Basketball Court. The proposed court will be a new 40’ x 60’ concrete slab, 4” thick, with a 6” thickened edge. The project includes site preparation, concrete material and placement, and other related services. The bid price shall include the total cost of all taxes, and the successful contractor will be required to accept a Purchase Order from the City of Hays. The project is sales tax exempt, and the City of Hays reserves the right to reject any and all bids. • The concrete mix shall be 6 sack 20 mixed with fiber mesh reinforcement • The base shall be 3” compacted crushed concrete • The surface shall have a light broom finish • Clearing, grubbing, and haul off are included • The project shall be a “turnkey” event, including all materials, equipment, labor, and mobilization/travel needed • The contractor shall maintain certain insurance requirements during the project • The contractor shall indemnify and hold the City of Hays harmless from any liability imposed for injury
