Two Precision 1-Circle Segment Stages (Goniometers)

The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking information from sources that may be capable of providing two precision 1-circle segment stages (goniometers) that are capable of supporting a load of at least 50 kg with required cabling. The goniometers should have a travel range of at least +/- 15 degrees, an angular resolution of at least 0.002 degrees, and a mass of less than 5 kg without motor. They should also include a motor with a cable at least 1.5 m in length and have a mounting surface that is greater than or equal to 150 mm by 50 mm with at least four tapped thru holes for mounting other objects. • The goniometers will be used in a far-field grating neutron interferometer to measure the projection of the pair correlation function, G(Z), of a sample of interest. • The goniometers should be able to align two phase gratings in pitch with respect to the neutron beam axis. • The Phase Grating Pitch Alignment system will support other components and must be able to control a large load. • Respondents should provide information about their company, the equipment they sell, and its technical specifications. • Respondents should also describe the performance capabilities of the equipment and any additional features or functions that may be beneficial to NIST.
