New Power Operated Rolling Gate and Adjacent Fence Sections for Taylor Avenue Exit

The Maryland School for the Blind is seeking a contractor to replace an existing chain link power operated rolling gate with a new aluminum picket style rolling gate, as well as two adjacent fence sections. The project includes installing a new pedestrian gate with a maglock, providing new concrete curb and sidewalk, and conducting a training session on gate operation for MSB Facilities staff. The contractor must have a minimum of five years' experience in performing the work required for this project and must staff the project with an on-site supervisor who has a minimum of five years' experience. The project will be completed between July 31, 2026, and August 28, 2026. The following are key aspects of the project: * Replacement of the existing gate and fence sections with new aluminum picket style gate and fence * Installation of a new pedestrian gate with a maglock * Provision of new concrete curb and sidewalk * Conducting a training session on gate operation for MSB Facilities staff * Compliance with all applicable laws, codes, and standards * Maintenance of a drug and alcohol-free workplace * Provision of insurance and bonds as required * Compliance with the State Minority Business Enterprise Law and other applicable laws and regulations.
