This Request for Information (RFI) seeks market data, technical information, and physical samples for 15 kV medium‑voltage Power & Underground Residential Distribution (URD) cable and 600 V secondary‑network cable, all EPR‑insulated, to be used by City of Tacoma’s utility network. The City will use the responses to update technical specifications for a future solicitation expected late 2026‑early 2027. Vendors must provide two 30‑ft hand‑coils of each required cable type, certified test reports, and detailed pricing based on metal‑price indexes. Submissions are due electronically or in‑person by the deadline, and the City requires acknowledgment of Addendum 1.
• Supply of 15 kV EPR‑insulated Power, URD, and 600 V network cable meeting AEIC, NEMA, and ASTM standards.
• Provide physical 30‑ft samples for independent testing (NEETRAC) and complete QA documentation (ISO 9000, manufacturer QA policy, test reports).
• Submit unit pricing (FOB destination) with methodology for metal‑price adjustments; no budget is disclosed, but the City expects baseline pricing for quantities up to ~40,000 ft per item.
• Must meet experience requirement (≥ 35 years in cable manufacturing) and provide at least 10 utility references from the past five years.
• All responses must be received by 11:00 a.m. PT on 13 April 2026, with proper acknowledgment of Addendum 1.
