Description
The University of Texas at Austin is seeking qualified professional/technical services firms to provide engineering, architectural, and related consulting support for utility and energy‑management projects across its extensive campus infrastructure. The contract will be awarded on a “as‑needed” basis, with an initial one‑year term and up to four optional one‑year renewals. Services may cover new plant design, upgrades, feasibility studies, construction administration, code compliance, BIM modeling, energy modeling, and on‑site troubleshooting for both campus utility systems and individual building infrastructure.
• Scope includes MEP, civil, structural, instrumentation & controls, and architectural services for utility plants, distribution systems, and building‑level infrastructure upgrades.
• Deliverables: feasibility studies, Owner’s Project Requirements, design development, construction documents, IFC drawings, cost estimates, BIM models, commissioning, testing & balancing, and post‑construction punch‑list support.
• Required submissions: Qualifications PDF, Execution of Offer letter PDF, and VetHUB Subcontracting Plan PDF via UT Box by 2:00 PM CST on 11/2/2026.
• Contract type: Miscellaneous Services on Projects of Limited Scope; one‑year term with up to four one‑year extensions.
• Mandatory VetHUB subcontracting plan (expected contract value ≥ $100,000).
• No pre‑bid conference or site visit; all questions must be directed to the listed point‑of‑contact.
• Evaluation based on experience, staff qualifications, past performance, and ability to meet Texas‑specific regulatory requirements (e.g., GA‑48, licensing, workers’ comp).
