The County of Chatham, GA is seeking a qualified vendor to provide an annual underground utility locating and marking service for its fiber‑optic telecommunications infrastructure. The contractor will receive locate requests through Georgia’s GA‑811 One‑Call system, perform field locating, mark utilities with paint/flags, report findings, and handle damage investigations and related documentation. The contract is a one‑year “annual” agreement with the possibility of renewal, and requires compliance with state utility protection statutes, insurance, and local hiring preferences.
• Service area: ~75 miles of underground fiber conduit throughout Chatham County.
• Deliverables: Locate tickets, markings (paint, flags, stakes), 48‑hour reporting, damage investigation reports, monthly invoicing.
• Required resources: Trained locators, compatible GA‑811 software/hardware, vehicles with contractor branding, insurance (≥ $1M CGL, $500k WC, $1M auto).
