Description
The City of Los Angeles is seeking bids for the rehabilitation of approximately 5,035 linear feet of existing 36-inch and 38-inch circular brick sewers using the Cured-In-Place Pipe (CIPP) or Ultraviolet Cured-In-Place Pipe (UV CIPP) liner method. The project includes cleaning the host pipe, removing fallen bricks and other debris, preparing the sewer for CIPP liner installation, rehabilitating existing maintenance holes and junction structures with Type I Liner, re-activating existing sewer nodes and existing house connection sewers, installing a new maintenance hole, preparing the sewer for liner installation, adjusting maintenance hole covers to grade, and upsizing maintenance hole frame and covers. Additionally, sewer bypassing, traffic control, and odor control will be implemented during construction.
• The project requires a valid State of California Contractor's License Classification of "A".
• The project is subject to the provisions of the Dept of Public Works Project Labor Agreement and the City's Local Business Preference Program.
• Bidders must submit their bids through the Regional Alliance Marketplace for Procurement (www.RAMPLA.org).
• The City shall grant bid reductions to certified Local Business Enterprise (LBE) firms, Local Small Business (LSB) firms, and Local Transitional Employer (LTE) firms.
