Kate Barnes Boat Ramp Improvements

The Alachua County Parks & Open Space department is seeking bids for the Kate Barnes Boat Ramp Improvements project. The project includes replacement of the existing boarding dock, paved accessible parking and sidewalks, wood fencing, and trees. The proposed work within this contract includes demolition, sitework and grading, drainage and stormwater, parking lot and sidewalk paving, plumbing, and landscaping. The project is located at 18800 S County Road 325, Hawthorne, FL 32640. • The project requires full-time and competent supervision, skilled and experienced labor, materials, tools, and equipment necessary to complete the improvements described in the plans and specifications. • The bid package includes the ITB, Advertisement for Bids, Instruction to Bidders, Terms and Conditions, Insurance, Scope of Service, Submittals, ITB Pricing Form, and Sample Agreement. • The County has adopted a 15% participation goal and policies that encourage participation of Small Business Enterprises (SBE) in the provision of goods, services, and construction. • The project has a mandatory pre-bid meeting on July 22, 2026, at 9:00 am at the project site. • Bidders must submit their bids electronically through the County's Public Portal by August 19, 2026, at 2:00 pm.
