Notice of Intent to Sole Source Marine Diesel Engine Repair Services

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers intends to award a sole source firm fixed price contract to provide engine parts and engine rebuild services for the P/B Hocking Main Engines, marine transmissions, and Ship Service Generators. The contract will require the provision of genuine OEM parts and service, with any rebuilt components conforming to Detroit Diesel dimensions, tolerances, and specifications. The work will be performed at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers facility, Caven Point Marine Terminal in Jersey City, New Jersey. • The contract is for the repair of marine diesel engines, including the provision of new or remanufactured parts. • The engines to be repaired are Detroit Diesel 12V-71's, and the marine transmissions are MG-312. • The ship service generators are Detroit Diesel 2-53's (20kVA). • The contractor must be able to provide genuine OEM parts and service, with any rebuilt components conforming to Detroit Diesel dimensions, tolerances, and specifications. • The work will be performed at the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers facility, Caven Point Marine Terminal in Jersey City, New Jersey.
