Purchase and Install of Natural Gas Generator - Rosenberg Civic Center

The City of Rosenberg is seeking bids from qualified vendors for the purchase and turnkey installation of a 400KW natural gas generator on an engineered concrete pad and an 800-amp Automatic Transfer Switch at the Rosenberg Civic Center. The project includes furnishing and installing battery charger and block heater circuits to the generator, as well as coordinating with the gas service provider for permitting and installation of the gas line. The successful bidder will be required to comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations, including those related to equal employment opportunity, prevailing wage rates, and environmental protection. Some key points to consider: • The generator and transfer switch must be installed on a concrete pad with a minimum thickness of 8 inches and a minimum compressive strength of 4,000 p.s.i. • The contractor must provide engineered stamped plans for the generator, transfer switch, and all connections, as well as a single line diagram for the gas line and electrical wiring. • The contractor must also provide a certification regarding debarment and a certificate of insurance with minimum limits of $500,000 per person and $1,000,000 aggregate policy limits. • The project requires a 50' x 40' area with a 6ft chain-link fence, three rail double swing gates, and privacy slats. • The contractor must comply with all applicable standards, orders, or regulations issued pursuant to the Clean Air Act.
